Nonstop Debuts New LED Results Screens at the Firecracker Run

This 4th of July, Nonstop had the pleasure of timing the Firecracker Run Presented by MercyOne Genesis in East Moline, IL. 2026 marked the 44th iteration of this storied race, and the streets of East Moline once again welcomed 3,000 runners from all across the Quad Cities and beyond.
The morning began with an ominous dark sky advancing quickly towards downtown East Moline just after sunrise. No sooner had we finished setting up our timing equipment, we were taking cover in the timing tent as a torrential downpour swept through with less than an hour until race time. A torrential downpour is enough to make any timer sweat, however, we could breathe easy knowing that our Race Result Ubidium timing equipment is built to withstand all weather conditions. Once the clouds parted, the runners emerged from their vehicles and the race went off without a hitch.
In our efforts to continuously improve upon the participant experience and provide new and innovative solutions for races, we rolled out a couple new features on the results end. Utilizing Race Result’s results platform, we delivered a sleek, clean, and modern results page for every participant. Runners enjoyed a fully personalized results page featuring bib-tagged photos individual finish line videos integrated directly into their results page. On-site, we also debuted our new walk-up LED results display. It was a massive hit, giving runners an instant look at their finish time and creating a fun, shareable photo-op to celebrate their finish with family and friends. Be on the lookout for the LED results display at the Freedom Run Presented by UnityPoint Health and the TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon later this year!
Next up for us, we’re excited to be timing two first-year events on Saturday, August 1st- The Chicken Chase 5K in Rock Falls, IL, and the Prairie Dairy 5K in Oxford, IA!
